Project parameters
Inplas Fabrications have used a variety of Perspex® products to create different production sets, props and backdrops for a number of major films and TV shows.
The projects they have worked on include;
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory; using 20mm, 25mm and 30mm clear Perspex® cast acrylic to create the famous “great glass elevator”.
Thunderbirds - the Movie; using 10mm thick 9T20 tinted Perspex® cast sheet in the 3 piece sliding roof in Lady Penelope’s car.
Match of the Day/Inside Sport TV studio; using 15mm and 20mm clear cast Perspex® together with selected use of vinyl to create the studio set.
News at 10 using 20mm Polar Frost Perspex® to create the desk facings and studio backdrop.
Five News: using 20mm clear cast Perspex® to create the news desk, floor and logos, with the rear wall in 5mm translucent blue.
ESPN: using 10mm clear Perspex® Frost to create the studio set.
Littlewoods; using Perspex® Frost in 5mm thick sheet to create lightweight cubes used by the actors in their TV ad campaign.
Inplas have been using Perspex® sheet in a variety of grades, thicknesses and colours to create stunning and effective props, sets and backdrops for film and TV programmes as they find Perspex® easy to work with and because they know that Perspex® will look good under the demanding scrutiny of the camera.
