Katarina Fulínová has designed a new range of lights, PLASTICO, using Perspex® from Lucite® clear sheet.
The range combines simple, geometric shapes, combined with sleek, modern lines to give a range that makes optimum use of the perfect clarity and excellent light transmission qualities that are inherent in Perspex®.
The range includes designs which are both modern and also traditional, with engraving to resemble lace and embroidery.
Katarina is a freelance designer who specialises in interiors and interior product design. She chose Perspex® because of its special characteristics of transparency, edge illumination and the ability to shape, curve and cut it.
She took her inspiration from the intricate detail found in lace and needlework and was able to reproduce this effect in the Perspex® sheet. All designs have one thing in common – they combine modern, intelligent design principles with a superior performance product to create a unique and contemporary design.
