New Perspex® Frost colours add contemporary cool chic to 100% Design
Stealth Chandelier Client 100% Design, London, UK Designer Antonio Arevalo and Mauricio Elorriaga, London, UK Fabricator K2, Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire, UK Application Lighting Project parameters Antonio Arevalo and Mauricio Elorriaga were charged with designing a large, chandelier style lighting installation for use in the main hall at 100% Design 2009 in Earls Court London. They used the original Stealth lamp concept where an elegant lamp unit is made from a single sheet by simple bending as the basis for their new design. To create the Stealth chandelier, they used hundreds of mini Stealth lamps made from 3mm thick Perspex® Frost acrylic sheet in Slate and Stone grey, together with over 3 kilometres of fibre optic lighting. Different colours were achieved using different lighting gels at the light source together with the light reflecting and refracting qualities of the sheet. The chandelier was the principle lighting installation feature in the exhibition’s main hall.
